BI2 - plvl map

currently, BI2 is emty, and the whole world is flooded with archers plvling...

so here is my idea...
the portal to BI2 gets replaced with an NPC, who ONLY lets lvl 70+ archers enter
(people in the team of an archer would also be teleported trough)


BI2, would become 1 HUGE island (about 8x the size of the big island in BI1)

in the center, would be a small village, with the following NPC's:
- StorageMan, allows you to add/remove money, you cant REMOVE items, but you can ADD items [items are added to the BI warehouse]
- TaoApprentice, allows for teleporting to market at 500 silvers, and can also teleport you back to BI1
- SalesMan, sells SpeedArrows & repairs gears

this HUGE island, would have about 20 diferend spawn groups, all far enough from one another to prevent archers from using all the spawns....
for the same reason, birds there should spawn really fast
also, normal items & money less then 1k will not be dropped by the monsters here, as to prevent huge lag caused by these drops

These monsters would have the same hp & lvl as normal birdmen, but CANNOT be used for the BI quest

the birdspawns in BI1 would be lowered, as to make it more profitable for archers to use this plvl map


this would benefit both plvlers and normal players
as plvlers got a perfect plvling spot, and normal players get more monsters to kill



Q&A:

Q: Other classes should be allowed in aswell!
A: It would be a plvling map, designed to be perfect for that, BI would be clear becouse of it!

There is already a request for a new birdmen spawn in the "approved suggestions". I think there is a real need for more birdmen, that spawn is always so overcrowded, but I think that request is better than this one and probably easier to implement.


A couple of my concerns about this particular suggestion:

1) PKers would only be able to get in as part of a team with an archer, so the island would be relatively protected from PKing (nice but unfair).

2) This would give preference to archers over other classes for doing the Demon exterminator and Cloud Saint quests in the monsters on this huge island as they could do it in a relatively PK-free area.


I plevel a lot with an archer so the idea of a separate island just for us to plevel in, with a greatly reduced risk of PKing, has a lot of appeal but I think this suggestion is unfair to other classes compared to the suggestion already approved.

these would not be useable for the quest, same as most other second-map monsters..
also, we archers would LOOSE scatter in BI1, clearing the map for all other players

and yes, the chance of a PKer entering that map is a lot lower...

but this would turn the useless BI2 into a "perfect" plvling map, with the price being only that its a bit more expensive (but also a lot easier )

Make the spawns "AlienBirds" so that it does not affect the Demon quest. I agree wtih most of the idea. Dont like the "No Scatter" in normal birds. If this is removed I will vote yes. Untill then no vote

this is a combined version of both of those, with a real poll so it could actually be implemented...




and i suggested BI2 as its currently unused, if a special map was created for this, that would work to, i just think this would clean out the whole game of plvling archers, making it more fun&easy for everyone
As the chance of a PKer entering is a lot lower this idea would be very unfair on professions other than archers. It would be fairer to leave the main area of BI as a free-for-all that plevellers could use and to have separate islands with restricted entry for each profession to level in.

I still dissagree with limiting skills to certain parts of the game. Lets say no SS/FB on GW map... Or you cant use TF outside of GW map..

A better idea would be to reduce the spawn so that high lvl Arch's wont want to go there. Make the second map more appealing. Give the second map the density of the current birds but make this the whole map. Also make it PK forbiden so that you can pwrlvl without getting pked... looters can be a problem then but im sick of noobs pking me when im pwrlvling. Stupid when a lvl 100 arch with free no + gears but good tallys (super +5) can pk me lvl 128 lvl 120+ gear but average tallys (super/elite free +3)

I dont agree with making a whole area for archer class only.

This would effect quests and lvling for all other classes.

I also dont agree that a skill..as u mention scatter should be disabled for any area.

Agreed with this and ~Zesty~

BI 2 should be able to be accessed by any 70+, as well as people underneath the level if they are in a team. Not every archer would go there. Some will still power level other people in BI 1 regardless, since it's just the way things are.

If the idea is modified I will vote, but until then, no vote.

the nub archers wouldent want to go to bi2 since thats where the plvling is so mega ksing they would wanna lvl on bi1 since there isnt as much plvling going on there but scatter would be disabled so theyd still be fuxed...
